You notice it just by moving around the area: there are many people, things are happening in the companies, and new encounters are constantly being created. The Science Park is clearly a place where people want to be, work, study, and build something new.

It is not just a feeling. According to data published in 2023, the second-highest number of new jobs in Finland over the previous ten years were created in Turku Science Park. Only Kalasatama in Helsinki ranked higher. Currently, there are about 26,000 jobs and over 400 companies in the Science Park.
Growth is also reflected in the demand for business premises. Companies are looking for spaces in locations where everyday life functions, services are nearby, and there are other companies, experts, and life all around.
The future prospects are interesting. In the long-term vision for the Science Park, the goal is to create 18,000 new jobs in the area. Growth towards Itäharju also brings new companies, experts, services, and encounters. It is not just about new buildings and square meters, but above all about what is happening in the area and who is meeting there.
At Turun Teknologiakiinteistöt, we are also looking forward. Our management team has gained a new member, CFO Jukka Virko, and at the same time, our focus is firmly on the future of the Science Park.
